Hani started playing as a handball player in 1985 for Manama, in the 9 years that he practiced the game, he always had that look towards basketball, and the basketball players, he used to play basketball in the neighborhood trying to develop his basic skills. In 1995 he decided to join the team. Since then, Hani has shown great skills and he combined the physical game he got from handball in his new field. Taking the words of his coach Salman, he kept improving till he got himself a place as a regular bench player. Never letting down the coach's decision of calling his number, whenever needed.
